Abstract

This study entitled “The study on teachers’ perception on the implementation of KTSP in MA NW Narmada”. The purpose of this study is to know the teachers’ perception on the implementation KTSP and also to know what kinds of problems do the teachers face in the application of KTSP. The respondents of this study were the English teachers of MA NW Narmada. The writer used questionnaires and interviews as the instruments of gathering the data. There were two indicators used by the writer to measure the perceptions of teachers of MA NW Narmada on the implementation of KTSP; Teachers’ background knowledge of KTSP and Teachers’ attitude toward KTSP. The writer found that the teachers of MA NW Narmada have good perception on the implementation of KTSP; it was 67, 86 %. It also said that their attitude toward KTSP was in very good perception; it was 83, 89%. Meanwhile, based on the interview conducted, it was found that the problems encountered by some teachers of MA NW Narmada on the implementation of KTSP dealt with; in optimal understanding about the essence of KTSP, unsustainably socialization of KTSP seminars, workshop and discussion about KTSP, lack of media, tools, visual aids and infrastructures, lack of stimulus to the teachers.
