Abstract

Patchouli is one of the lower plants that has the potential to be developed as an additional income for the community. The purpose of this study is to determine the process of Patchouli production, income and worthiness of Patchouli farming. The study was conducted in the BKPH Rinjani Barat Pelangan Tastura in April- May 2018. Sampling is done in purposive to all farmers who had harvested Patchouli. The data analized in this study are income and feasiblity of Patchouli farming. The results showed that Patchouli farming in The BKPH Rinjani Barat Pelangan Tastura is conventionally, characterized by planting to post harvest, no treatmen, no special tools, and no fertilzer. Harvesting is done three times by involving family labor and also out side labor. Patchouli farming income at BPKH Rinjani Barat Pelangan Tastura is Rp. 520,625/LLG/year which is equivalent to 809,867/Ha/year. The average total cost is Rp. 370, 153/year which is equivalent to Rp. 70, 033/Ha/year. The average production is 514Kg/year/farmer so that the annual income is Rp. 920,861 which is equivalent to Rp. 1, 446,447/Ha/year. Gross B/C Ratio is 2,41 which means that Patchouli farming in BKPH Rinjani Barat Pelangan Tastura is feasible to enlarge.
