Abstract
Candlenut, is one of a high potential non-wood product in NTB province, produced which is majorly in P- Sumbawa. The researc was conducted in pancor Dao Village, Aik Darek Yillage, Sub district of Batu Kliang which belongs to Lombok Tengah District and Batu Dulang Village located in the sub distric of Batu Lanteh in District of Sumbawa Besar. Agroforesny system is implemented by--the community at the sub district of Batu Lanteh combinated the species of candlenut (Aleurites moluccana) as mainly tress, and seasonally crops such as coffie, longan, Rombutan don melinjo, iia oxo banana dan spices os monthly crops.This study tried to analize the roles of agroforestry system and gender analysis in candlenut production implemented by community. The result shows, cadlenut was choosen as mainly trees in order to increase the community's livelihood and conserve the soil and water. Gender analysis shows that women took more active roles in processing and processing technoiogy. In other side, men took more active roles in acces to resource, information and market.
