Abstract

This study aims to describe: 1) Types of authentic assessment developed bycivic teachers in Junior High School 1 Batulayar, 2) Implimentation of inputs processes and output assessment on civic subjects in Junior High School 1 Batulayar, 3) the assessment implementation in the cognitive domain , knowledge, and skill on civic subject at junior High School 1 Batulayar. The type of this research is qualitative research with case study research design. The research subject in this study were two civic teachers at Junior High School 1 Batulayar and research informant which was the principal and vice curriculum principle at Junior High School 1 Batulayar. The technique of collecting data used interview, observation, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the authenticity of the 2013 curriculum at Junior High School 1 Batulayar has not run well because both the civic teachers have not applied this assessment in the class that they teach, but this assessment began to compile and applied in the 2013 curriculum and the school began to manage it so this assessment can run well. Solutions that the teachers do were discuss with peers about the way arrange the authentic assessment so that the obstacles can be done well, counselling and and soacialiszation of authentic arrangements by targeting the school that use the 2013curriculum.
