Abstract

Quail laying business is one of the promising businesses. But in the management of quail farms, it is not easy, there are several things that are considered such as the location of the cage, animal feed and quail’s drinking water [1]. Feeding livestock is given at any time. The availability of water it’s very important because if quail does not get drink or thirst this will affect the productivity of the egg later. Water flow control is important because it must be filled when the water tank runs out, so the farmer must control the water tank any time. The solution for controlling water tank is using Wireless Sensor Network based on the Internet of Thing using the MQTT protocol (Message Queuing Telemetry Transport). The sensors used is the ultrasonic sensor and DHT-22. The sensor will be placed on the water tank where ultrasonic sensors are used to measure water storage and DHT-22 to measure the temperature and humidity. The water tap at water tank will attach the servo to automatically turn the tap on or off. Data from each sensor will be sent to the broker that will be accessed by the Android application as subscriber and publisher. The android application will be sent a notification to the user if the Water tank is empty or full.
