Abstract

WPAN ZIGBEE is a wireless network technology that has characteristics such as low power consumption, and can communicate networks and convert its own data using small areas such as schools, offices, and housing. In this journal, a simulation and analysis of communication data between nodes on a housing monitoring system is conducted using WPAN ZIGBEE technology, where the node is a sensor that is installed in each house in the housing. Each node will be interconnected with each other and will be arranged by one PAN- Coordinator. To exchange the data, a Routing protocol for path searching and data transmission is needed, the protocol used is DSR and AOMDV. In search of paths and data delivery, path damage can occur and the method used to overcome path damage is NDAMR. The purpose of this study is to determine the performance comparison of DSR and AOMDV protocols, simulate Zigbee networks with NS-2, and evaluate the performance of the DSR and AOMDV protocols with the NDAMR method on the Zigbee network. The simulation results show that in the 10 to 40 node scenario, the AOMDV protocol has a higher throughput value than the DSR protocol, with a ratio of 2.92 and 2.05 Kbps. The End-to-end delay DSR protocol is less than the AOMDV protocol with a ratio of 5.5 ms and 16.48 ms. And the value of the Packet Delivery Ratio from the AOMDV protocol is higher than the DSR protocol with a ratio of 70.79% and 13.91%.
