Abstract

The research aimed to determine the effect of inorganic fertilizer (urea) and organic (made from dirt) some types of livestock on the content of crude protein and crude fiber Mulato grass (Brachiaria hybrid cv Mulato I). Research conducted at the University Teaching Farm Mataram, West Lombok Village Lingsar and Laboratory Science and Nutrition, University of Mataram from February 7, 2014 until August 13, 2014. The material used is a Mulato grass inorganic fertilizer (urea) and organic manure (cow, horse , chicken). The design used was completely randomized design (CRD) with five treatment levels (0, 1, 2, 3, and 4) and 3 replications. Such treatment includes different types of fertilizers that P0 (control), P1 (urea115,6 gr/shed), P2 ( organic cow manure4 kg/shed), P3 (organic fertilizer horses 7,5 kg/shed) and P4 (organic fertilizer chicken 2 kg/shed). Data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA), a significantly different effect followed by Duncan's test using SPSS 16 program is the observed variable content of crude protein and crude fiber. Average yield the highest crude protein content was obtained in treatment 1 (urea) is 7.05% and the lowest in the control (no treatment) is 5.38%. While the crude fiber content was highest at P0 treatment (control) 34.38% and the lowest in treatment 1 (urea) 30.15%. The results of this study indicate that the presence of a significantly different effect between crude protein and crude fiber produced (P <0.05).
