Abstract

This study aims to : ( 1 ) Knowing the characteristics of the institutions marketing of broiler chickens in the city of Mataram . ( 2 ) Knowing the broiler marketing channels in Mataram . ( 3 ) Analyze the value -added marketing agencies broiler chickens in the city of Mataram . ( 4 ) Knowing the profit per day from marketing agencies broiler chickens in the city of Mataram . This study used qualitative and quantitative methods , techniques of data collection conducted by interview and observation . Determination of the location and the proportional done randomly selects respondents ( Simple Random Sampling ) . The results showed that the characteristics of broiler chicken trader in 3 markets in Mataram majority of respondents were women with less labor -owned , are in the productive age , and has a low level of education . Marketing of broiler chickens in the city of Mataram , there are 6 channels of marketing . Distribution marketing channel with the largest broiler breeder contained in the channel of all traders , then cutting to the merchant , to retailers , and end to end consumers . The average value added per head at retailers of Rp 5,313 , - / tail . Average value added on the merchant cutter Rp 2841 , - / tail and the average value added in the collector of Rp 1113, - / tail . The added value contained in the largest retailers of Rp . 5313 , - / tail as the sum of sales by sales carcass liver , rampela , feet , intestines , and heads per cow , Gains Rp 5075 , - / tail . The smallest value added contained in the collection of Rp.1113 , -/ekor , while the benefits of each tail of Rp 875 , - . Traders biggest advantage is the day traders of Rp 1,075,672 , - In the Cutting traders profit of Rp 417 604 , - and there is the smallest gains in retailers of Rp 254 494 , - . Gatherer Traders largest benefit per day compared to Retailers and Merchants collector Cutter for selling chickens in large numbers .
