Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of some kind of king grass silage additives on the content of crude fiber and crude protein . This research has been carried out in the Laboratory of Forage Forage Animal Husbandry, University of Mataram . The material used in this study is the King Grass , maize bran , rice bran , brown sugar , molasses and sugar . Research using experimental design complete ack ( CRD ) with 6 treatments and were each given 3 replications , if there is a significantly different results then followed by Duncan test . The treatment consists of : P0 king grass silage without additive , P1 : king grass silage + additive corn bran 10 % P2 : king grass silage + additive rice bran 10 % , P3 : king grass silage + additive brown sugar 3 % , P4 : grass silage king + molasses additive 3 % , P5 : king grass silage + additive sugar 3 % . Statistical analysis followed by Duncan 's test that P1 ( corn bran ) significantly (P<0.05) on the content of crude protein and crude fiber king grass silage (Pennisetum purphureopoides). From these results it can be concluded that the P1 gives the best results on the crude protein content (11.25%) and crude fiber (22.59%) with the addition of king grass silage additive 10 % corn bran .
