Abstract

The aim of the research is to know the effect of using flour snails flour snalis as replacement of fish meal in rations toward chicken broiler carcass and its abdominal. The material employed was 96 tails of Day Old Chick (DOC) CP 707. The used of design was Completely Randomized Design with five treatments and four repetetions . The treatment by adding flour snails to feed was done by ; TO: 0%,T1: 2,5%,T2: 5%, T3: 7,5%, T4: 10% and commercial feed. Box cage was used and it consists of 24 units. Each unit consists of four one week old chickens, a feed place, a drinking place and electric heater 25 watt. The chicken was maintained for 35 days. The feed ingredients were cron, bran, soy bean, dregs of soy sauce, fish meal, flour snails, coconut oil and minerals. The results showed that carcass weight was effected by leve of adding of flour snails so that the chicken which is fed at level 7,5% has the highest value as well as the wieght of abdominal fat. On the order hand, the level of feeding of flour snails did not effect the internal chicken (non carcass).
