Abstract

Forest is one of the natural resources that determine the lives of many people, either directly or indirectly. The last issue is closely associated with forests is global warming, where every country concerned with this, both countries that have forests or forests that do not have though. No less important is the role of forests as providers, savers and water storage. Saving water in the forest is determined by several parameters such as precipitation (P), evapotranspiration (E), and water discharge (Q). In this paper, based on the mathematical relationship between the components mentioned above will be determined explicitly the relationship between the fraction of the permitted maximum logging to the volume of water storage in the forest. This relationship will then provide recommendations on how much forest can be explored, ie how many trees in the forest can be logged.
