Abstract

This study aims at knowing the contribution of exposure frequency of English to reading comprehension of eleventh grade students MA DI Nurul Hakim Putri Kediri of West Nusa Tenggara Province . This research is Ex-post Facto with Correlational design. The samples of this research are systematically selected by choosing the even numbers from the students’ name list, which consist of forty-eight students out of two hundred and forthy students of eleventh graders in the academic year 2017/2018. The data were collected by using simple regression and correlation pearson product moment of SPSS 16 windows . The calculation of the data was reffered to 5% of the significant level. This research proved that (1) there is a significant correlation between English exposure frequency and reading comprehension performance of the students. The result of data calculation shows that the correlation coefficient of .830 (then, percentage into 83 %) with probability of .00; (2) In adition, the EFE significantly contributes to the reading comprehension performance for the R square value is .602 (60.2%). It means that, Exposure Frequency of English give a positive contribution to students’ reading comprehension.
