Abstract

Petroleum is the current fossil energy which is still the main choice in meeting the world's energy needs in particular Indonesia. But when this energy is used continuously then it will be depleted because for availability is very limited and cannot be renewed. In addition, this energy also has a negative impact on the surrounding environment because it can cause air pollution. Solar energy the Earth, can be collected and converted into useful heat energy through a device called a flat-plate solar collectors. Size of flat-plate solar collector absorber granite in this study was 100 cm x 80 cm x 10 cm and a form of parallel channel 7. To improve performance the collector, collector angle variation done by 15 °, 30 ° and 45 ° with the discharge of water used is 300 cc/minute, 400 cc/min and 500 cc/min. Time interval data retrieval done interval 5 minutes and measurement of discharge hose 10 minutes for 7 hours per day from 10.00 until 17.00: WITA. Data retrieval is performed for 9 days. The parameters to be measured are the environmental temperature, wind speed, temperature, the temperature of the glass top of the absorber, the temperature of the wall, the water temperature entering the collector, and the collector temperature water out. From the results of this research show that the value of the difference in temperature water transitions high solar collector that is when angle variation collectors set 30 ° of 17.64 ° C with a variation of 300 cc/ minute compared to 15 ° angle while worth 16,11 ° C and 45 ° angle of 15,91 ° C, while the average efficiency is highest when the collectors are arranged at an angle 30 ° when the 400 cc/minute amounted to 64.44% over time 300 cc/minute of 55.80% and the time of discharge 500 cc/min of 62.59%.
