Abstract

This thesis entitled ―Reflection of Freedom in No Exit Drama by Jean Paul Sartre and Its Contribution to the Drama Learning in Colleges‖. In analyzing the reflection of freedom in this drama, the writer used the Freedom Theory of Taqiyuddin An-Nabhani by using descriptive method of data analysis. This study focuses on the reflection of the freedom that shown by the characters of the drama in No Exit drama. The result of this study is the writer found that there are several characters that shown the reflection of freedom, such as debating between Inez and Garcin that shown freedom of opinion, Inez‘s dialogue that shown freedom of intellectual property right (economy), the reflection of freedom of religion that shown by time, place and condition in dialogues between Garcin and Valet, Garcin is the nicest guy and Inez is a confident and an assertive women that shown the freedom of personality. Therefore, the writer found the character of Inez was often reflecting the Freedom Theory of Taqiyuddin An-Nabhani. Moreover, the writer found there are some contributions of freedom to the Drama learning, in term contributions in moral awareness, knowing moral values, determining perspective, and decision-making.
