Abstract
The aims of this research are (1) to explain the characterization of the main character in Kramer Versus Kramer movie, and (2) to describe the main character’s characterization changes in Kramer Versus Kramer movie. Characterization is a way to identify a character. The characterization of a character is definition of a character, which is described physically or seen from attitudes and how he/she behave. The method used in this research is qualitative method. In this research, the writer used the method of collecting data by watching, quoting and marking the dialogues and scene in Kramer Versus Kramer movie. In this research, the writer found some characterization of the main character from the movie. They are workaholic, indifferent, individualistic, arrogant, hardworking, patient, care, responsible, persistent, and wise. This characterization can be seen according to the dialogues and scene in Kramer Versus Kramer movie.
