Abstract

At this time, the period in which technology is being developed has resulted in so many new materials that have been discovered and then converted into new materials or materials that are more useful, so the palm fiber deserves to be the object of research in developing new materials that are environmentally friendly combined with polymers to form materials composite. The title of the research is the influence of zinc pin insertion on polyurethane on bending strength and drop weight test of composite sandwich.The process of making the specimen with the first step to make the palm fiber first then proceeded to make the mold, liquid foam polyurethane printing, pin pinning process on the core, leather making, specimen testing. Based on the results of the calculation of bending test specimen that has the greatest value indicated by the specimen using angle variation 90 ° of 22.835 N / mm², while the calculation of test specimens drop test test that has the best value is shown on specimens using angle variation 60 ° with value 98, 5 mm³. After calculation using one way anova that the pin insertion on sandwich kompoit significant effect.
