Abstract
Coronary heart disease is one of heart disease classification that happened when there is an imbalance supplay and need of oxygen to the heart muscle.. Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) is a condition of the respiratory system abnormalities during sleep causing breathing recurrence temporary dismissal for narrowing or closing of the upper airway during sleep. Phase apnea during sleep in patients with OSA may aggravate the condition of a lack of oxygen supply to the heart muscle of patients with CHD. This study aims to determine the relationship of risk factors for OSA to patients with CHD by coronary angiography. Methods: This study is a cross sectional correlation. The population in this study were patients who had been in therapy CHD coronary angiography at age 55 to 80 years in NTB General Hospital. Patients who fit the criteria of inclusion amounted to 51 research subjects then performed stop-BANG questionnaire to assess risk factors for OSA in patients with CHD who had been in therapy with coronary angiorafi. Data correlation on OSA and CHD risk function analyzed using Spearman'stest. Results: Obtained results value of significancy p = 0.002 (p <0.05) between OSA relationship with CHD risk factors. Values obtained correlation r = -0.422, which means between independent variables and the dependent variable is not unidirectional and has a moderate negative relationship. Conclusion: There was a significant association of risk factors obstructive sleep apnea on the incidence of coronary heart disease by coronary angiography in NTB General Hospital.
