Abstract
This study aims to determine the qualitative and quantitative nature of Bali cattle. The material used is 211 Bali cattle. Sampling was carried out in three districts namely Poto Tano, Ai Suning and Taliwang in KabupatenSumbawa Baratby purposive sampling. The observed variables were qualitative (feather color and horn direction) and quantitative (chest circumference, body length, gumba height and hip height). The results showed that the color of male Bali cattle matched the seeds (52.12%) and the females matched the seeds (45.49%) and did not match the seeds (2.36%) in both males and females. Balinese bulls have horns to the outside while the female horns are pointing inward. Quantitative properties of the parameters measured are chest circumference, gumbaheight, body length and hip height. The diversity of quantitative traits can be seen from the value of the coefficient of diversity. The highest coefficient of body size coefficient value is shown in body length (24.70%) and chest circumference has the lowest coefficient (3.64%). The highest value of the coefficient of diversity in female Bali cattle is chest circumference (21.15%) and the lowest is at hip height of (4.54%)
