Abstract

Devi Ratna Dila. Feasibility Analysis of the NIla Fish Cage Cultivation Business in Lingsar District, West Lombok Regency. Supervised by Dr. Ir. F.X. Edy Fernandez, and Ir. Asri Hidayati, M.Sc. Faculty of Agriculture, University of Mataram. West Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province is one of the areas chosen as the center of the development of the Minapolitan area. Freshwater aquaculture activities in West Lombok Regency have enough potential to continue to be developed, because in terms of economic and in terms of carrying capacity of natural resources the conditions are quite promising. This study aims to, (1) Determine the feasibility of tilapia aquaculture business in the cage system in Lingsar District, West Lombok Regency, (2) Find out the obstacles faced by the cage tilapia aquaculture entrepreneurs in Lingsar Sub-District, West Lombok Regency. This study uses descriptive methods and research implementation techniques to determine the number of respondents using the Slovin method obtained by professional sampling. The data used are primary and secondary, and the type of data used consists of quantitative and qualitative data. This research was conducted in Lingsar Subdistrict, Determination of Lingsar Village and Segerongan Village as a research location based on the consideration that the two Villages are the villages that produce tilapia system of cages continuously and as the Village with the highest number of tilapia production in the Lingsar Subdistrict which consists of 15 villages namely, Sigerongan, Lingsar, Dasan Geria, Gegerung, Bugs, Gontoran, Sari Baye, Gegelang, Batu Mekar, Karang Bayan, Langko, Duman, Batu Kumbung, Peteluan Indah and Giri Madya. The results of this study are the tilapia aquaculture business in the Lingsar District, West Lombok Regency, receiving an income of Rp 12,883,470, with a production cost of Rp 4,678,113 and an income cost of Rp 12,472,413, with an R / C value obtained Rp 4.03, which means> 1, so that the tilapia fish farming business in the cage system in Lingsar District, West Lombok Regency is worth the effort, where each expenditure of Rp 1,000 will receive Rp 4,030. The constraints faced by tilapia aquaculture in the cage system in Lingsar District, West Lombok Regency with respondents as many as 23 respondents with a percentage of 100%, then capital constraints as many as 9 respondents with a percentage of 39%, competition with the number of 7 respondents with a percentage of 30.4% and water constraints with as many as 7 respondents with a percentage of 30.4%. Suggestion: Tilapia aquaculture business in the Lingsar subdistrict of West Lombok Regency makes its feed or prepares an alternative week so that expenses for feed costs are not much. The existence of information from the government or related institutions as policymakers regarding the constraints complained by tilapia fish farmers in the cage system, and the level of awareness of the surrounding community to maintain the flow of water.
