Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of different feeding frequencies on the growth and survival life of comet fish (Carassius auratus). This research was conducted at the Wet Laboratory of Aquaculture Study Program, Mataram University. The research data collection method used was an experimental method in the form of differences in the frequency of feeding comet fish, namely 1 time a day, 2 times a day, 3 times a day, 4 times a day and 5 times a day. The research design used in this study was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments, each treatment was repeated 3 times. The research data were analyzed using Analysis of variance (ANOVA) at the 5% real level with 95% confidence. The results showed that the frequency of feeding had a significant effect on absolute weight growth, absolute length growth, specific growth rate, feed conversion ratio also for feed efficiency and had no significant effect on comet fish survival rate. The best frequency of feeding comet fish is two times, three times and four times a day, because feeding at this time can provide optimal growth results and feed efficiency.
