Abstract

Senang dam is located in Batuyang Village of The Sub district of Pringgabaya in East Lombok. Senang dam is functioned as water reservoir in rainy season and the source of irrigation water in the dry season. In case of it’s function as irrigation’s water source, Senang dam water supply shows the inability to meets the irrigation’s waters demands. This problem caused by the large number of field that served by this dam. Therefor the optimization of Senang Dam urgently needed to meet the water demands. In this study, in order to maximize the area of irrigated land area, the land area of irrigation optimization done by applying different planting patterns of Rice – Crops (Tobacco) – Crops (Tobacco). The model that used is the for this optimization is 1 month optimization in a year, with concerning the irrigation field area that available, the irrigation field area that fulfilled, the availability of water and irrigation supply that meets the demand. . The optimization method used in this calculation is namely Programs Solver. From the results of the optimization on the dam Senang obtained the maximum irrigation land area covering an area of 178 ha of Rice planting pattern – Tobacco – Tobacco at the beginning of the planting season in October I with details of the planting season I (Rice), with a land area of his planting and intensity of 44,48 ha 24,99 %, Planting season II (Crops), with an area of 178 ha of land and the intensity of his planting 100%, and the planting season III (Crops), with a land area of his planting and intensity of 71,17 ha 39,98 %.
