Abstract

This study aims to: 1) To determine the pattern of household income of fishermen in West Soro Village, Kempo District, 2) To determine the amount of household consumption of fishermen in West Soro Village, Kempo District, and 3) What obstacles are faced by fishermen when going down to sea at sea. West Soro Village, Kempo District. The method used in this research is descriptive method, with the unit of analysis in this study are fishermen who catch fish in West Soro Village, Kempo District, Dompu Regency. The results showed: 1) The pattern of household income of fishermen in West Soro Village, Kempo District came from fishermen, motorcycle taxis, construction workers, mechanics, craftsmen, farm laborers, carpenters, traders, and fish sellers with a net income of Rp 23,130,894 per years, 2) household consumption of fishermen in West Soro Village, Kempo District, which is an average of IDR 22,115,500 per year consisting of primary, secondary, and tertiary needs, and 3) Constraints faced by fishermen in West Soro Village, Kempo District, are conditions erratic weather and volatile fuel prices.
