Abstract

Excessive use of groundwater by the people of Gili Air can be a cause of sea water intrusion and can even be a factor in the rapid intrusion of sea water in Gili Air. This study aims to discovered the distribution of sea water intrusion in the Southern Gili Air area. The occurrence of sea water intrusion toward underground water sources can affect the quality of the groundwater. In investigated the quality of groundwater, the parameters used in this study are the salinity value, the conductivity value, and the resistivity value. The value of groundwater salinity is measured by using a multiparameter, the conductivity value and the resistivity value are measured by using a geoelectric method. The groundwater salinity value that has been noted were analyzed by using a Microsoft Excel, while the conductivity and resistivity values in this study were analyzed by using Res2Dinv and Surfer. From results, it is has been sea water intrusion at the research location, this is indicated by the range of the average salinity value at the well points is 2,690 ‰ -18,038 ‰, and the range of average conductivity values of the geoelectric measurement results is 0.018 S / m-3.020 S / m.
