Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to feel the effect of offering biochar and cow bio urine fertilizer on N uptake and growth of kale plants. The research method used is experimental. This research was conducted at the Greenhouse of the Faculty of Agriculture which took place from September to November 2020. This experimen used a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of six treatments, namely A (biochar application), B (biochar application + 30% bio urine concentration), C (biochar application). + bio urine), C (biochar application + urine), 50% concentration), D (30% bio urine concentration), E (50% bio urine concentration and K (Control), repeated four times. The parameters observed were plant height dry cored weight, root weight, root volume, tissue N uptake, N, P, K, organic C, and soil pH. The results showed that 1) the application of Biochar and Biourine affected the N uptake of kale plants. The highest N uptake was treatment C (Biochar 10 ton/ha + Biourine 50%) with a value of 144.1 mg/pot. 2) The application of Biochar and Bio urine affects the growth of kale plants (plant height, root volume, root weight, and dry stunting). Treatment C (Biochar 10 ton/ha + Biourine 50%) gave the highest growth compared to other treatments. The values of plant height, roo volume, root weight, and dry mortality in treatment C were 52.03 cm, 7.60 ml, 25.02 g / pot, and 32.33 g / pot, respectively.
