Abstract
Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman fisik tanah pada beberapa tipe penggunaan lahan di Kabupaten Lombok Barat. Penelitian dilaksanakan di 5 lokasi yaitu sawah, tegalan, kebun campuran, hutan, dan semak belukar. Analisis tanah dilakukan di Laboratorium Konservasi dan Fisika Tanah, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Mataram. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus sampai dengan bulan November tahun 2020. Penentuan lokasi pengambilan sampel tanah untuk bahan analisis di laboratorium ditentukan secara acak (Random Sampling) sehingga diperoleh 15 titik sampel. Pengambilan sampel tanah diambil sebanyak 3 ulangan pada setiap penggunaan lahan dengan kedalaman 0-10 cm, 10-20 cm, dan 20-30 cm. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sifat fisik tanah pada 5 tipe penggunaan lahan yaitu lahan sawah, lahan tegalan, lahan kebun campuran, hutan dan semak belukar, mempunyai sifat fisik yang beragam, tekstur tanah didominasi fraksi debu dan pasir dengan kelas tekstur lempung berdebu, porositas yang kurang baik, kapasitas air tersedia, sedangkan kemantapan agregatnya beragam dari tidak mantap sampai dengan mantap sekali dan kekuatan tanah yang bervariasi dari bernilai rendah sampai tinggi. Sifat fisik tanah pada 5 tipe penggunaan lahan umumnya ditentukan oleh tekstur. Abstract: The objective of research was to determine the soil physical characteristic in some types of land use in West Lombok. Field survey was conducted at five land use namely rice field, upland, mixed garden, forest and shrubsland. The soil analysis was carried out at the Laboratory of Conservation and Soil Physics, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Mataram. The study was commencing from August-November 2020. Sampling sites were determined using random sampling in order to obtain 15 sample points. Soil samples were taken at each land use with a depth of 0-10 cm, 10-20 cm, and 20-30 cm. The result of study shows that soil physical properties in the five types of land use were variated such as in the rice field, upland, forest, mixed garden and shrubsland. The soil texture was dominated by dust and sand fraction with a dusty loam texture class, poor porosity, the water capacity available, while the stability of the aggregate varies from poor to good and soil strength varies from low to high value. Soil physical properties in five land use are generally determined by soil texture.
