Abstract
This study aimed to discover (a) the content validity level of the language test used by the teacher at SMA Negeri 1 Lingsar, (b) the construct validity level of the language test used by the teacher at SMA Negeri 1 Lingsar, and (c) the coefficient validity level of language test at SMA Negeri 1 Lingsar. Mix method (quantitative- qualitative) is used as the research approach in calculating and presenting the data. The population is the students of SMA Negeri 1 Lingsar at the eleventh-grade (275 students) and only 16,36% (45 students) out of the number of populations were taken as the sample. Based on the data analysis, it is found that the content validity achieved high level and there were 17 valid items in the percentage of 68% based on indicator KD-3 in the syllabus. The construct validity achieved medium level and there were 12 valid items in the percentage of 48% based on language aspect or assessing task (speaking and writing). Finally, in the coefficient validity showed that there were 17 valid items in the level of high and medium coefficient validity.
