Abstract

ABSTRACK The objective of this research was to find out the significant differences in curriculum 2006 and curriculum 2013, to find out the way of implementation in curriculum 2006 and curriculum 2013and to find out the teachers problem in the implementation of curriculum 2006 and curriculum 2013at SMP Negeri 10 Mataram 2015/2016. In this research, the writer used a qualitative method, such as: interview, observation, questionnaire, note taking and documentation to describe the implementation of curriculum 2006 and curriculum 2013. The data in this research were collected by documentation, observation, interview, questionnaire and note taking. In analyzing the data, the researcher used interactive qualitative analysis method such as: data reduction, data representation, and drawing conclusion and verification. The result of the research shows that, firstly, the significant differences in curriculum 2006 and curriculum 2013are the learning process, implementation, standard process, evaluation and curriculum organizer. Secondly, the implementation of curriculum 2006 and curriculum 2013in teaching and learning process at SMP Negeri 10 Mataram. Thirdly, the teachers got problems in the implementation of curriculum 2006 and curriculum 2013such as: 1). The English teachers got problems in providing lesson plan in the implementation of curriculum 2013 and curriculum 2006 (KTSP), 2). The teachers still do not understand in developing steps in learning using scientific approach, 3). The teachers confused with source that they used to make lesson plan, a lot of books become the problem for teachers to provide the lesson plan, 4). The class management also became problem that the teachers face, 5). The teachers also face the problems in evaluation is too many aspects that the teachers must be assessed, because there are too many aspects that must be evaluated in curriculum 2013.
