Abstract

Curcuma is a natural ingredient that can increase the growth, survival of fish and can increase the productivity of aquaculture. But so far, the use of curcuma extract in carp feed has not been very popular among cultivators. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct this study with the aim of knowing the effect of adding curcuma extract to commercial feed and dose good for the growth and survival rate of carp. The research method used is an experimental method using a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 5 treatments and carried out 3 replications consisting of treatment 0 without the addition of curcuma extract, treatment 1: adding 2% curcuma extract, treatment 2: adding 4% curcuma extract, treatment 3: the addition of 6% curcuma extract, treatment 4: the addition of 8% curcuma extract. The results of this study showed that the addition of curcuma extract to feed had a significant effect on the absolute length growth rate, absolute weight growth, feed conversion ratio, feed efficiency, survival rate, leukocytes, erythrocytes, hemoglobin. The best treatment was in the P3 treatment with the addition of 6% curcuma extract.
