Abstract

The basic method used in this research is descriptive method and the data analysis method used is quantitative descriptive analysis method. The method of data collection is done by interview, observation, and documentation. The data used are primary and secondary data, and the type of data used consists of qualitative and quantitative data. This research was conducted in Mataram City. There are 2 sub-districts determined by purposive sampling, namely Ampenan District and Sandubaya District, with the consideration that in these two districts the community continues to cultivate mustard greens every season. Respondents in this study were 30 respondents who were determined by Quota Sampling, with a sample of 15 farmers from each sub-district. While the selection of respondents was done by accidental sampling. The results showed that: (1). The average cost of green mustard farming in Mataram City in one production process in 2020 is Rp.116,556/are; in the rainy season Rp.117,969/are and in the dry season Rp.114,432/are. The largest cost structure in both the rainy and dry seasons is labor costs in the family at 37.8% and 39.0%, then production costs at 24.3% and 22.0%. (2). The average production of mustard greens in Mataram City in one production process in 2020 is 65.99 kg/are; production in the rainy season was 65.19 kg/are, lower than the dry season at 66.83 kg/are. (3). The average income of mustard green farming in Mataram City in one production process is Rp.145,182/are; in the rainy season Rp.267.457/are; greater than the dry season, which is Rp. 19,411/are. (4). Production risk and price risk of green mustard farming in Mataram City, both seasonal and annual are still low with a coefficient of variation (CV < 0.5); while the risk of income in the dry season and annual risk is high with a coefficient of variation (CV) greater than 0.5. The suggestions submitted by the author are: (1). To obtain maximum green mustard yields, farmers need to handle risks early on appropriately and quickly. (2). To make policies, it is necessary to disseminate information to farmers from related agencies. (3). For better research in the future, it is hoped that further researchers will be able to develop this title.
