Abstract
HILMIYAH YULIANDARI. Analysis of Blue Lake Ecotourism Development Strategy in Karang Sidemen Village, North Batukliang, Central Lombok Regency. Supervised by Mr. Ir. Effendy, MP. As the main lecturer and Mr. Ir. Addinul Yakin, Gd.Ec., M. Ec as a co-supervisor.Karang Sidemen Village, Batukliang Utara sub-district is one of the villages that is suitable to be used as an ecotourism area village because of its natural beauty and forest atmosphere that is free of noise pollution, making this place worthy of being introduced as new natural tourism that offers tranquility and natural beauty of the forest. The potential that exists in the Blue Lake eco-tourism area can be developed as much as possible and can bring benefits to the government, investors, and the community, while tourists can get satisfaction by seeing the ecotourism potential that exists in the Blue Lake area.This study aims to: 1. To determine the strategy of developing Blue Lake ecotourism. 2. To identify the driving and inhibiting factors for the development of Blue Lake ecotourism.This research method uses descriptive methods, namely research methods aimed at describing existing phenomena. Which takes place in the present or in the past. The data used are primary and secondary data, and the type of data used consists of quantitative and qualitative data. This research was conducted in Karang Sidemen Village, North Batukliang District, Central Lombok Regency. The determination of Karang Sidemen Village as a sample area because the village is a Blue Lake ecotourism development area. Determination of respondents is done by incidental random sampling technique, which is a technique of determining the sample based on chance/incidental meeting with the researcher can be used as a sample, where the researcher found 50 respondents.The results of the analysis of Blue Lake Ecotourism Development Strategy in Karang Sidemen Village, North Batukliang, Central Lombok Regency, using the SO (Strength and Opportunities) strategy, with the consideration, that Blue Lake ecotourism has a lot of natural potentials to be developed, but has not been utilized optimally, Therefore, in developing Blue Lake ecotourism, strategies must be created by using strengths to take advantage of opportunities. In this study, the driving factors that get the very high category are the beautiful natural scenery, cool and pristine, and the ecotourism atmosphere that provides comfort for ecotourism visitors. The inhibiting factors that get the very high category are the limited budget for the cost of ecotourism facilities and infrastructure and the development of other tourist objects that increase competition.Suggestion: To support the development of ecotourism, the accessibility to ecotourism and the tourist attractions contained in ecotourism needs to be improved. The utilization of information technology needs to be increased to introduce and promote ecotourism potentials to the wider community. In addition to introducing it to the wider community, the use of information technology can also attract investors to actively contribute to efforts to increase Blue Lake ecotourism.
