Abstract

This study aims to determine conflict resolution between Grab online transportation drivers and angkot drivers in Bengkulu City. As well as knowing in depth the factors that cause conflict, actors involved in conflict resolution, conflict impacts, and conflict resolution between Grab online transportation drivers and angkot drivers in Bengkulu City. The data collection process used non-participant observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. The approach used in this research is descriptive qualitative with the technique of determining informants by means of snowball sampling. The data obtained is then reduced, sorted and recorded and verified to obtain the validity of the data in order to answer the research formulation. The conclusion which is the final process of the research after all the data has been reviewed and analyzed using Lewis Alfred Coser Theory which states that conflict is not only functionally negative insofar as it moves against the structure but can be functionally positive as long as it strengthens group solidarity. Research results that, 1). The factors that cause conflict between Grab online transportation drivers and angkot drivers in Bengkulu City are competition and interests. 2). The actors involved in the conflict are the Bengkulu City Transportation Service, the Bengkulu Provincial Transportation Service, the Bengkulu City Resort Police (Polres), Grab online transportation drivers and conventional public transportation in Bengkulu City. 3). The impact felt due to the conflict between Grab online transportation drivers and conventional angkot transportation in Bengkulu City, namely the increase in in-group solidarity in the Grab transportation mode group and the formation of the five-colored angkot alliance in Bengkulu City, then the domination of angkot drivers and the subjugation of one party or group. 4). Conflict resolution is carried out in several ways, namely negotiations, mediation conciliation and arbitration which are expected to resolve conflicts between Grab online transportation drivers and conventional angkot transportation in Bengkulu City.
