Abstract

The aim of this research was to find out the effectiveness of using Chain Story Game in teaching writing recount text and to find out the difficulties that the students face in writing. This was an experimental research with total population of 58 students. This was a two group design: experimental group and control group, each group consists of 29 students in every class. The data were collected by using pre-test, treatment, and post-test. The experimental xi group was taught by using Chain Story Game, while the control group was not taught using Chain Story Game.
