Abstract
At this time, people usually open and close the folding gate conventionally, so it will be less effective and efficient if opening and closing the gate manually, So it will be necessary automatic system to make it practice and efficient. From that problem the writer have suggestion to make a simulation of an automatic folding gate, with hope that it can be realize on a real gate. This automatic system based on microcontroller arduino uno as the circuit controller, the system will be operated via bluetooth and RFID. This planning is done in a research procedure with two step, which is (1) hardware planning, it start from the making of the frame of the gate and the making of circuit controller (2) software planning, which is the making of android as the controlling system and the making of arduino program on software IDE (Integrated Development Environment). Based on the examination result, it can be conclude that the automatic gate operating perfectly, it is as it planned. The bluetooth module that we use can work on the distance less than or at 11 meter on an open room and on the distance less than or at 15 meter on a closed room. The RFID reader that we use have frequency 13,56 MHz with the maximum distance between the RFID tag with RFID reader is 5 cm.
