Abstract

bstract The goal of the study was to determine the potential bacterial candidates of PBTs isolated from the guts of WBR and its water in the control of Vibriosis disease. The working methods carried out in this study were first by isolating candidates for PBT bacteria which was then continued by selecting PBT candidates. Based on the stages of isolation carried out, 18 bacterial isolates with varying morphology were obtained. However, after the selection stage, only 5 bacteria with the largest amylolytic activity were selected, which are Mr1 (Listeria sp.), Mr2 (Listeria sp.), Mr3 (Enterococcus sp.), Mr4 (Kurthia sp.), and Mr5 (Kurthia sp.). As a result of this study, it is known that Mr4 or Kurthia sp is a potential candidate for PBTs in inhibiting the growth of Vibrio harveyi pathogenic bacteria with a test value of 7.40 ± 0.98 mm. The results of pathogenicity tests on WBR also found that Mr4 did not decrease the survival rate (SR) value in fish so that it included PBT potential bacteria. In addition, other test results recorded that Mr4 has amylolytic activity of 6.67 mm, the ratio of SS adhesion of 1.41 %, the average resistance activity to pH 2.5 by 0.317 log CFU/ mL and pH 7.5 of 0.224 log CFU / mL.
