Abstract

ABSTRACT: Teaching is an activity whereby the teacher shares not only knowledge but also skills, attitudes, and values to the learners. To make the teaching and learning process in the classroom more effective and efficient, managing the class is a must just like how it shows on Freedom Writers the movie. The aim of this research is to (1) identify and describe types of classroom management strategies used by Gruwell and to (2) identify the way teacher motivates students to learn. The writer uses the descriptive qualitative method to analyze the movie Freedom Writers as the primary source of data along with any books and websites that are related to the film, also documentation methods is used to collect the data. To examine the data in this study, the researcher uses the following activities : (1) Choosing the related scene, classifying the object of the research, Describing the Teacher Activities and Concluding the Findings.
