Abstract

This research is entitled “System of sasak Greetings At Kuripan Village West Lombok Focusing: Sociolinguistic”. The problem of this research is (1) what is the form of Sasak greetings at Kuripan village West Lombok? (2) what is the type of Sasak greetings at Kuripan village West Lombok? (3) what is the function of Sasak greetings at Kuripan village West Lombok? (4) what is the meaning of Sasak greetings at Kuripan village West Lombok ?. This research aims at (1) describing the form of Sasak greetings at Kuripan village West Lombok (2) describing the type of Sasak greetings at Kuripan village West Lombok (3) describing the function of Sasak greetings at Kuripan village West Lombok (4) describing the meaning of Sasak greetings at Kuripan village West Lombok. The type of this research is kualitatif reseach. This research used observation and interview methods with note taking technique and record technique. The methods used to analysis data this reseach is padan intralingual and padan ekstralingual methods with appeal equalize technique and appeal distinguish technique. The data analysis is presented in informal methods. The results of the study indicates that (1) the form of Sasak greetings at Kuripan village West Lombok is lingual units and T-V units (2) the type of Sasak greetings at Kuripan village West Lombok is khinsip, personal pronouns, and personal names (3) the function of Sasak greetings at Kuripan village West Lombok is equalize the status/age, distinguish the status/age, and T-V function (4) the meaning of Sasak greetings at Kuripan village West Lombok is solidarity, respect, and T-V meaning.
