Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is a significant difference in teaching vocabularies to 9th grade students at SMPN 12 Mataram using video or audio-only materials. The study's subjects are ninth-grade students from one of Mataram's Junior High Schools. The research was carried out using a quasi experimental research design. Furthermore, data were gathered via pre-test and post-test. The study's findings show that in the posttest, the group that watched video outperformed the group that only listened to audio. The findings clearly show that video had a statistically significant impact on the students' vocabulary acquisition. According to the study's findings, participants viewed the use of video in their lessons favorably.
