Abstract

Pandemic Covid-19 forced the Indonesian government through the ministry of education culture to combine face-to-face and online learning in teaching, commonly called Blended Learning. Thus, this research study aimed to investigate how do teachers apply the blended learning in their teaching, what problems do teachers faced, and what strategies do teachers adjust to the blended learning. The study was qualitative research in the form of a case study design. Data collection techniques used in-depth interviews with seven English teachers who were teaching in SMA 1 Lembar, SMAN 1 Gerung and SMAN 1 Kuripan, observations, and documents. The data analysis technique in this study consists of three stages, namely data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusion. The finding showed that the implementation of blended learning in those schools was far from the governments’ expectations. The other findings are, there were some problems that English teachers faced, and also they used some strategies during the implementation of blended learning.
