Abstract

Aims at identifying difficulties faced by EFL student teachers during their teaching practice experience. Teachers take an importent role in the teaching and learning proces. Before becoming teachers, they must adapt to the skill that teachers have in general. In adapting those skill, some difficulties occur. This study aimed to identify and to describe the difficulties faced by EFL student teachers during teaching practice at Senior High School in Narmada. This study used quantitative descriptive research to analyse the difficulties faced by EFL student teachers majoring in English at Mataram University in the teaching practice program. The population of this study was 16 student teachers from the faculty of teacher training and education of Mataram University and they were in their last year of study in the faculty of teacher training and education. They faced some difficulties during teaching practice which are related to six aspects namely, classroom management, evaluation on student, cooperating teacher, working with people, participation in non-teaching duties, and learning material.
