Abstract
The title of this research is The study of the Regional Management Model of the Interregional Development Expansion, aiming at finding out of the forms of RMPS (Regional Manajemen Pulau Sumbawa Island) cooperation in optimizing the productive economic potentials through the policy of regional development through regional management (RM). The research is conducted on the regencies throughout Sumbawa island, coverung the regencies of West Sumbawa, Sumbawa, Bima. The research is explorative. The data collection method employed is specific method, i.e limited on specific things. The data analysis instrument is least square method, and the regional economic analysis instruments, such as overly, proxy, and comparative methods. The research findings show that the economic growth in RMPs regions varies in the vear 2003-2008. The lowest value was found in Dompu with the average of 3,67%, followed by Bima (4,48%), Sumbawa (4,52%) and Bima City (4,55%). The highest was found in West Sumbawa Regency, KSB (5,54%). The economic structure in the RMPS regions is still dominated by the agricultural sector in the wide sense. The contribution amount the agriculural sector in 2008 in KSB was 31,78%; Sumbawa, 42.84%; Dompu, 41,49%; Bima, 52,14%; and the smallest as in Ruma City, 21,35%.
