Abstract
This paper is aimed at analyzing Ukraine's efforts to ensure human security in response to the Russian military invasion in 2022. The relations between Ukraine and Russia are inseparable from conflicts, ranging from the Orange Revolution, the gas dispute, the Crimean crisis, and the military invasion carried out by Russia against Ukraine. This invasion is motivated by the expansion of NATO membership towards Ukraine which poses a threat to Russia's security stability. Of which, on February 24, 2022, Russia finally launched its military invasion which had a destructive impact on various sectors of Ukraine's human security. This study applies the concept of human security from UNDP in seeing the impact, occurred as a result of Russia's invasion against Ukraine, and the concept of international cooperation on how Ukrainian government endeavors to ensure human security in response to the Russian military invasion. In this study, the author concludes that Ukraine's efforts which comprises various sectors in ensuring human security have a significant influence in minimizing the impact caused by the Russian military invasion.
