Abstract

This study analyzed podcast as a media for teaching extensive listening. The goal of this study is to find out whether or not the use of podcast gave significant effect to improve students listening skill. There were 31 participants collected using convenient sampling technique, and only grouped into one group. This study was conducted on august 2022 and only two weeks with six treatments. The data was obtained by pre-test and post-test score of TOEFL-like listening test and analyzed using the t-test. The result showed the t-test value is higher than the one-tailed and two-tailed table in confidence level of 0.05 and 0.01, with the value of the t-test (2.642>1.607) and (2.642>2.457). It revealed that there was significant effect of using podcast to improve students listening skill. This study focused on the result of the pre-test and post-test.
