The study documents the language by identifying its dialectological relation with the Karang Bayan and Batu Mekar by using elicitation, interview and recording. Elicitation was performed in face-to-face interviews with respondents guided by a list of basic word. Interviews were given to adult male or female speakers who are knowledgable of the language and its culture. The data were recorded by using digital recorder. Linguistic analysis was lexicostatistical and the result show that the Punikan dialect is 30.2% of words difference with the Karang Bayan which means that it is different families of subdialect and 36.8% of words difference with the Batu Mekar wich means that it is different subdialect with difference in the basic word level, but these differences follow predctable patterns of vowel.
