Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of the village administration in establishing the replica of the Kaaba as a religious education tour in Central Lombok. This research is original in terms of tourism products since it provides a novel experience for travelers who wish to experience the Hajj atmosphere in Mecca. This study employs a qualitative approach with exploratory analysis as its research methodology. This study's data collection methods are divided into three categories: first, observation in the form of observing the existing conditions of the Kaaba replica in Central Lombok, supporting attractions, facilities, and infrastructure, tour packages offered, and tourist activities; second, interviewing; and third, surveying. Second, interviews as part of a data gathering procedure with informants sourced from the village government, the Kaaba replica management, and the community who have knowledge that is relevant to researchers. Purposive sampling was used to identify the sources. In the third category, documentation studies, researchers employed pictures, audio, and video as documentation tools. In addition, researchers gathered records, scientific publications, and books about the replica of the Kaaba in Central Lombok. The findings of this study indicate that the development of religious educational tourism Replica Kaaba in Central Lombok is oriented on tourism development based on educational values that can improve the spiritual souls of tourists. Facilities, infrastructure, and tourism services are the supporting components of tourism. The creation of religious and national educational tourism replicas, such as the replica of the Kaaba, the monument of Arafat, the monuments of Mina and Musdalifah, and the monuments of Safa and Marwah, which are the main attractions there. The function of the village administration in the development of religious educational tourism may thus be understood based on three factors. First, as a government as a motivator, by supporting and actively assisting the Kaaba replica tour manager in contacting the community by, for example, performing counseling, socializing, or educating the community to increase their awareness of tourism in Central Lombok. Second, The government's role as a facilitator is demonstrated through the creation of facilities, accessibility, and infrastructure in the form of paved roads and other support. Third, the government as a catalyst, the government's role is seen in its attempts to maintain communication with managers, the private sector, and the community, and to give chances for discourse. By issuing tourism laws, the government assets its primacy
