Abstract
This research aimed to discover the effectiveness of Drawing Label Captions used in learning writing skills at SMPN 1 Keruak. The research employed quantitative descriptive to investigate the effect of drawing label captions in learning writing skills. The data source of research dialed with the students. The findings discovered the mean score as the accumulation of all criteria was 62 in the pre-test. However, the mean scores as the accumulation of all criteria was 77 in the post-test. This technique had a significant use which was the drawing label captions. The Draw Label Caption influenced the students’ interest to learn English in which the students preferred to follow the lesson. It meant that the students were interested to learn the writing. The Draw Label Caption increased students in learning and they basically preferred to play than study.
