Abstract

Indonesia has daily solar irradiation levels on average relatively high at 4.5 kWh / m2 / day. The amount of energy that is so large that resulted sunshine, making solar modules into alternative energy sources a very promising from energy sourc for future. Solar Module also has advantages into practical energy source remembers not require transmission because it can be installed on a modular basis at each location requires. Research conducted on two types of solar modules of different treatments. The first condition is a normal condition (without treatment) and the second condition is compulsion by the addition of a flat mirror as a reflector with dimensions (39.25 cm 67 cm) with a reflector angle of 65 o and 75o . In addition to the solar modules added cooling water with a volume of 1.5 liters are added regularly ach 15 minutes, this study aims to determine the effect of the use of the reflector and the provision of cooling water on the performance of solar modules. The results showed that use of a flat mirror reflector with the provision of cooling water in the solar module can increase the output power (Pout) of solar modules at 5:02% at an angle of 65o using a corner reflector at an angle of 75o while the rise amounted to 4.01% and lowered the mean temperature mendakati average optimal temperature module. The efficiency (η) obtained the highest solar module normal conditions the highest η occurred at 14:30 pm by 22.26%. To use reflectors 65o and 75o efficiency (η) is the highest each occurring At 14:30 pm amounted to 22.36% and 23.41%.
