Abstract

Penetration of renewable energy generation is getting deeper due to reduced fossil fuel reserves and rising prices. Renewable energy generation enter in a three-phase distribution system which have unbalanced load. Three-phase power flow with unbalanced loads is used to analyze power loss in feeders with renewables generation in the system. A robust three phase power flow method for distribution networks is a backward-forward method. The results of the study on Hilbron feeders and Out 3 Gili feeders supplied from GH Senggigi, PLTS on three gilis, and Segara PLTM, that the load imbalance resulted in a power losses increase exponentially. The power loss percentage due to imbalance is 3.5%, 12.4%, and 26.7% for Hilbron feeders with Segara PLTM and Gili Air PLTS, Out 3 Gili feeders with PLTS on three gilis, and Hilbron feeders with Segara PLTM, respectively.
