Abstract
Telaga Valley farmer group of the Gumantar Village is a partner in this service activity. The problems faced include the unavailability of quality composite seeds at the farm level; farmers do not have the knowledge and skills in terms of producing quality corn seeds and corn seeds as a source of propagation seeds, not yet available. Therefore, the service aims to improve the knowledge and skills of farmers in the production of quality (certified) corn seeds; introduced the characteristics of the superior varieties of super early corn (Sinta Unram) and produced high quality Sinta Unram corn seeds. The method used in this service is the adult education method with participatory techniques. Measurement of the increase in participants' knowledge is carried out by filling out a list of questions before and after the delivery of the material. The activity began with the delivery of some learning material then continued with discussions. A demonstration plot (demplot) was also made to introduce the characteristics of Sinta Unram and the practice of producing seeds according to the seed certification procedure. The results of the service showed that there was an increase in farmers' knowledge in the field of characteristics of super early-mature corn plants, and techniques for making composite corn seeds by 30.84 percent due to meetings and discussions. Plot demonstration was carried out and 152 kg of composite maize seeds were obtained. The seeds have been distributed to participating farmers in Gumantar village, North Lombok.
