Abstract

The objective of the research was to evaluate the growth of several mutant upland red rice after being treated with gamma irradiation. The research material were nine genotypes upland red rice of third generation, result of gamma irradiation Pae Loilo cultivar (local of Southeast Sulawesi). The research was conducted at Field Laboratory of Agriculture Faculty of Halu Oleo University, from April to June 2017. The design method used Randomized Completely Block Design. Observation variables included plant height, leaf area, number of leaves, number of tillers and flowering age. Data were analyzed using SAS Program. Data showing real differences were tested further with the Duncan test. The results showed there were growth varieties of nine upland red rice mutants result of gamma irradiation.
