Abstract
This study is entitled “Analysis of the Main Characters in ‘Raya and The Last Dragon’ the Movie Directed by Carlos Lopez Estrada and Don Hall”. This study is qualitative descriptive investigating about the id, ego, and superego in character development and the personality of Raya and Namaari, tw characters available in the movie. The theory employed in this study is psychoanalysis theory developed by Sigmund Freud consisting of 3 elements of human personality. The three mentioned elements are the id, ego, and superego. The data were obtained from the scenes, dialogue, face expression, and voice tone of the characters of Raya and Namaari. The result of this study showed that both Raya and Namaari dominantly showed their personality from the perspective of Id. However, both are different in type of character. Raya is dynamic or round character with trust worthy as the dominant personality while Namaari is static or flat character with betrayal as the dominant personality
